Sherry’s Testimony I grew up going to church and I heard many stories about God when I was a child. I got baptized when I was five years old but I didn’t know what it meant to be baptized. The teachers would tell me that God loves me, cares for me and he will always forgive me when I make some mistakes. But I didn’t understand much about sin so I......

Our team met Lexi back in March when she came to an English corner that we host. Two weeks ago she made the humbling decision to put her faith in Jesus. This past Sunday she was baptized along with our friend Sherry! Rejoice with us as we celebrate our Savior. These girls believe Jesus made them right with Him, will be risen with Him, and have been given new......

Lexi has been sleeping over almost every weekend. She would stay with us on Saturday so we can go to church Sunday morning. Little did I know, last weekend would be different. I was so tired from prior events that day and I wasn’t looking forward to having bible study with her. She seemed disengaged the last couple of times we met and I was feeling discouraged. I am thankful for the progress she has made. Thank you Jesus. She only needs her oxygen tube but she can be off of it for extended periods of time. She puts a......

I was terrified of people: their looks, their rejection, their thoughts about me in response to proclaiming Jesus as......

On Sunday we sang “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” and “It Is Well With My Soul” in Chinese. Singing when you know you are not a singer can make anyone nervous, but singing......

In the last seven months, Taiwan has experienced rain a total of three times. Apparently, this drought hasn’t been this bad in the last 67 years. They cut off the water supply in other cities and this month our city was expected to do the same. I don’t think I have been so thankful for rain before. It’s been raining for three days now. Yay! NOW, I can use my umbrella......

When I was sick a couple of weeks ago, Lexi was very sweet and made us some authentic main-land style hot pot with shredded pork. It was delicious. She was also the first person to cook in my hipster kitchen 😉...
